lyrics

On the south side of Chicago when the winter night’s are cold, you can see a girl in a short white dress just waiting by the side of the road, and she says, “My boyfriend took me dancing, could you please give me a ride?” But when you pass the graveyard gate she’ll vanish from your sight.

Just outside of Detroit on a bridge over the lake, they say there lives the soul of a man who died for his own sake, and if you keep the motor running, you can see his blue light pass. The engine stops and the doors unlock as Luke tries to get inside.

“Ten years ago, on this very stretch of road, worst wreck I ever seen,” that’s the story that she told. “And when they finally pulled that body from the twisted, burning wreck…” She dropped me off at the side of the road and said, “Tell ‘em Large Marge sent ya!”
